December Newsletter 2021

River View Families,

I want to offer a sincere thank you to our students, parents, and families for such a high level of participation in the recent Food Drive. While our students and staff were thrilled to win the District Food Drive trophy, it is clear that the excitement is for all the right reasons. We were able to supply a huge amount of non-perishable items that will be utilized by those in need. I could not be more proud of how we came together as a school community to achieve our goal.

I also want to thank the participants in our Parent Advisory Group (PAC) for their ongoing support. We always encourage parent participation in our meetings, which occur on the last Tuesday of the month at 5:00 p.m. in the River View library. Please set a reminder in your phone for the last Tuesday, and stop by to hear about the latest happenings and get involved in the decision-making process at River View.

Again, I am so grateful to be a part of this school community, and I am so proud of the accomplishments of our students and staff so far this year. In spite of these trying times, our students continue to strive to be the very best version of themselves. It is a fantastic time to be a River View Eagle!

Thanks again,

Luke Cromell

Ping Pong Club

Do you have a ping pong table that you would like to get rid of?
Do you have ping pong paddles laying around the house?

Well, if that's the case, look no further because Ping Pong Club at River View Middle School will take and use your equipment.  Ping Pong Club is offered to students in grades 5-8 and operates during the months of January and February.  There's even a traveling trophy for those that "win the competition" for that particular day.  Any and all ping pong donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated.  Thanks for considering and we appreciate your support.  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Mr. Mees at meesn@kaukaunasd.org.

Pick up/Drop off

Parents/Guardians, please do not drop off or pick up your students in the designated bus lane on the North side of River View (river side). While we certainly understand in the cold months it is convenient to get your students closer to the building, please understand from the safety standpoint, that we must keep that area reserved for bus traffic only. Kobussen and River View greatly appreciate your help in this matter. The drop off locations including the front of the building (west side), the tennis courts (south side) of the building and Island Street (east side) are all drop off options for River View students. Thank you for your help and understanding with this matter.
